The Frosts family business was founded in 1946 by Harvey Frost as a cut flower, salad crop and tomato nursery just outside Woburn Sands in Buckinghamshire. The nursery business grew and grew (literally!) and in 1962 opened its gates as a Garden Centre – one of the very first of its kind in the UK. As the new ‘city’ of Milton Keynes developed so did the business with Frosts Garden Centre serving thousands of gardeners and home-owners in the area, whilst Frosts Landscape Construction provided much of the hard and soft landscaping, private garden designs, and interior and grounds maintenance services for hundreds of companies within a 50 mile radius of Milton Keynes. Frosts grew to found three other garden centres between 1972 and 2001 in Bedford, Abingdon and Brampton, near Huntingdon.
In November 2008 Frosts at Woburn Sands opened a Food Hall with its own butchery section (Woburn Country Foods) alongside its Flower Shop.
Both the garden centres and the landscaping company have won many awards over the years, and pride themselves on carrying on the traditional values established by its founder based on quality, service and value for money.
